1. First Impression & Registration 9/10 Pts.
Our First Impression of EnergyBet
The first thing we noticed about the Energy Bet desktop site was just how vibrant and exciting it looks. Sports fans will be drawn in by the bold black and yellow colour scheme, but stay for the promotions, which are clearly shown in a scroll banner across the top of the page.
In-play betting features heavily on the homepage with most of the screen taken up with live football and tennis betting. To the top of the page is a link to the registration form, as well as sports, casino and live variations of the two.
The usability of the site is one of its biggest selling points. Those asking ‘is EnergyBet trustworthy?’ will be glad to see that everything is accessible from the homepage; from sports bets to promotions. Despite the sheer number of bets, nothing ever feels cluttered or confusing, suggesting the bookie has gone to great efforts to organise their website. The result is that betting with EnergyBet is simple and fun. It took us seconds to register, and a few minutes to get started on our accumulator bet. This meant the bookmaker scored very handsomely in our EnergyBet ratings.
Registering at EnergyBet
When writing our EnergyBet review, we tried to imagine what it would be like to be a first time visitor to the website. That’s why we completed a registration form and then tried to place a bet to see how the bookies services worked. When it came to completing the form, this took just a few moments. We accessed it by clicking the yellow ‘Register’ button on the top-right of the home page. After this we typed in our personal information and an email was sent to us confirming our account. The whole process took us around a minute to complete. Is EnergyBet a good betting site for useability and registration? We’d like to think so.
2. The Bonus Offer 8/10 Pts.
EnergyBet Review: Betting Markets
There are a total of 42 different sports available to wager on at EnergyBet, which is a much larger number than some of the big player bookmakers. Betfair and William Hill have around 30 sports each, as an example. It’s no surprise then, that our EnergyBet ratings were very high for this section of the EnergyBet sportsbook review.
Football is one of the most prominent sports on the website, with over 30 countries represented in the betting selections. Of the leagues offered you’ll find the German Bundesliga, Mexican Liga MX, the Danish Superliga and the Singaporean S.League.
Other sports available on the website include tennis, cricket and boxing as well as a huge number of eSports markets. Rally, Aussie rules football and cross-country skiing are some of the more unusual options available on their site, although the markets for these are scarce. Still, it’s nice to see some less popular options available to wager on.
What Bet Types Are Offered at EnergyBet?
When it comes to bet types, you’re unlikely to find anything out of the ordinary on EnergyBet’s website, but they still offer a decent enough selection to keep you entertained. You can wager on single, each-way and accumulator bets on a number of markets. For football, you can select same game bets and add them together for a specific football accumulator. Lastly, you have the option of wagering on multi-bet markets such as Trixies, Yankees and Heinz bets. These give you the opportunity to cover various betting permutations in one go to maximise your chances of success. The larger the multi-bet, the more expensive the payout will be if it comes off.
With nothing exceptional on offer here, we had no option but to dock a couple of points off the overall betting markets rating. With this said, we still feel that EnergyBet were worthy of a score of 8 for this section of our review.
3. Betting Markets 7/10 Pts.
The EnergyBet Bonus Deal
One of our favourite bits of any EnergyBet review is the bonus deal. After all, who doesn’t like a little extra cash to bet with? The welcome bonus at EnergyBet gives players 10% of their initial deposit back to spend on an accumulator bet. What’s more, any accumulator winnings you may receive on this bet are also boosted by up to 100%. While this may not be the biggest promotion we’ve ever seen at a bookmaker’s website, it is relatively easy to get. To activate the bonus all you need to do is register on their sportsbook to create an EnergyBet login, opt in to the deal and make your first deposit. There’s no EnergyBet promo code needed to get this bonus.
More On the Bonus
As mentioned above, getting the bonus is simple. But how is it for terms and conditions? Well, thankfully EnergyBet isn’t too bad on those points. The main thing you need to know is how to activate the bonus. You do this by opting in once you’ve registered on the EnergyBet website.
Opting in is easy. Once you’ve registered, you’ll need to add a deposit. How much you put in to your account is up to you, but the bonus is awarded as 10% of your initial deposit. If you transfer £10 in, then you’ll receive £1. The maximum bonus you can receive is £50. When you make your deposit you need to use the dropdown menu to select your bonus. After this it’s ready to use.
You can use your bonus on any accumulator bet you like as long as it has three selections or more. Each selection must have the minimum odds of 1.25 (1/4) with the total odds of 2.50 (6/4) or higher. Once you’ve added your selections to your betting slip you need to select the bonus from the dropdown list found in the betslip. If your accumulator wins, the extra bonus funds will be added to your account along with your winnings.

Average Odds on Offer
Much like the betting markets available, EnergyBet offer nothing exceptional when it comes to odds. What they do offer though, are prices that are in line with the major bookmakers out there. To us, this represents good value for money as EnergyBet are a medium-sized bookmaker without the clout of the big boys.
Odds are displayed on the website in a decimal format as standard, which tends to suit European customers most. If you prefer, you can change these to fractional odds by going into the website settings.
Live betting odds are perhaps where the bookmaker offers the best value for money. You can access live betting through the website or via mobile using the Energy Bet app. The beauty of live betting is in the fluctuation of odds. So, to get the best deals, many bettors wait until the action is in-play. This is the time when bookmakers’ odds are likely to have variations between their value.
With odds similar to rival sportsbooks, it’s difficult to give them anything above a mediocre score in our EnergyBet review. With that said, their odds still offer decent value for money. Those asking the question ‘is EnergyBet reliable when it comes to odds?’ should feel comfortable in betting he
5. EnergyBet App & Mobile 9/10 Pts.
A Great App for Sports and Casino
While finding EnergyBet’s mobile app was not the easiest task we’ve ever had, they do have one, and it services both the casino and sportsbook.. It is called EnergyBet casino app, and has a very similar layout to the EnergyBet desktop site. We downloaded the app for our Android device, but we understand the app is also available for iOS.
Navigating the mobile app was simple as we were already familiar with the layout from the desktop site. One small change was the positioning of the login button, which was at the bottom of the screen instead of the top. Placing a bet was simple to do, and again helped by the familiarity of the website layout.
All Your Favourite Features in One Place
You can also access live betting, the EnergyBet promotions and tournaments and the EnergyBet VIP scheme from the app’s side menu. We were very pleased to see that you can access all of these features from the app itself. Particularly live betting, which means that any wagers placed can be monitored on the go. If a bet needs to be cashed out, you don’t need to rush to find a laptop or PC to do it, offering flexibility to the end user.
A nice feature of the app is the ability to play both the sports and casino game from one app. There’s no need to download another one for the casino, allowing you to switch seamlessly between sports betting and casino games if you like to play both. Casino games can also be played for free from the app to try before you buy, adding another great feature.
6. Livebetting & Streaming 7/10 Pts.
Wonderful Live Betting Capabilities
Live betting is accessed on the website by clicking the headline at the top of the page. For mobile, you’ll need to access the side menu of the app. Current in-play bets can be found in the centre of the homepage.
The sports available for live betting may vary, but at the time of checking the website we found football, basketball, tennis, baseball, beach volleyball, table tennis and esports tournaments. To find a comprehensive list of the markets offered you can access the live calendar near the top of the screen.
EnergyBet allows player to change between different views to monitor your bets. Conference view lists all of the events available in one section, whereas single bet allows you to choose just one sport to monitor. This is particularly handy on days where there are a huge number of markets.
No Live Streaming Available
One of the negatives we took away from our examination of live betting was the lack of live streaming on offer at the bookie. Currently no live streaming is available at all, not even on football, which tends to be the biggest live betting market. This is a shame, but it’s possible that EnergyBet will change their mind on streaming later on.
7. Specials & Extras 9/10 Pts.
Try Slot Games for Free
As well as a glut of sports bets available at your disposal, you can also wager on a number of casino table games and slots at EnergyBet. These games are provided by some of the industry leaders, such as Microgaming and Play N’ Go. Titles such as Gemix, Thunderstruck II and huge progressive jackpot game Mega Jackpot are all at your disposal to play. Games start from as little as 10p a spin, rising to hundreds of pounds a turn for some games.
Don’t worry if you’re on a tight budget though. You can try all of the slot games completely free of charge by selecting ‘Get Demo’ when you hover over the game’s title. Just make sure you are logged in to take advantage of this great site feature.
Get in Touch with EnergyBet
EnergyBet have embraced social media in a big way. You’ll find social media links for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram on their website, although Facebook is currently inaccessible. On Instagram you’ll find lots of coverage of football, with World Cup content currently dominating this channel. Twitter has content which covers a wide range of sports. Most of the information contained on here is odds-based to promote their latest deals. However, you will occasionally find sporting news on here too, so it’s worth taking a look if you’re researching your betting markets.
It is clear that EnergyBet have a lot to offer their website visitors, so we rated them very highly in this category to fairly reflect their efforts.
8. Payment & Limits 9/10 Pts.
EnergyBet’s Payment Options
It was a little tricky to find any information on the payment methods on EnergyBet, but eventually we tracked it down in their FAQ section. EnergyBet allows deposits to their website via credit and debit card, of which Mastercard, Visa and Visa Electron are accepted. If you hold an American Express card you cannot use it with EnergyBet. You can also make deposits using ecoPayz, PaySafeCard and Neteller, Skrill and Skrill 1-tap eWallets.
More interesting, though, is EnergyBet’s addition of Pay by Mobile, which is capped at £30, and the cryptocurrency Bitcoin, which is often overlooked by betting sites. This allows you to place your wagers with an added level of security thanks to its anonymous nature. This payment method is capped at €1,200, which is lower than all other payment methods which can be used up to the value of €5,000. The minimum deposit available is £10 for all payment methods with the exception of Pay by Mobile, which can transfer from £5.
Fees and Withdrawals
EnergyBet is a fee-free bookmaker, so they won’t charge you extra for making a deposit or withdrawal. One thing to note, though, is the possibility of your payment provider charging you for making a deposit. You should always check with them first before using your card to avoid unexpected charges.
When it comes to withdrawals, it’s good to know that they are processed within 24 hours. After this time you will wait on average between 2-5 working days for your funds to reach your preferred account. The exceptions to this are Bitcoin and the eWallets which can take as little as 24 hours to reach your account.
9. EnergyBet Support & VIP 8/10 Pts.

The customer support at EnergyBet is solid, with the bookmaker offering Energy Bet live chat support in several languages, including English. You can also contact EnergyBet by telephone, support form or via email. The customer service team at EnergyBet are available between 09:00-00:00 Monday to Friday CEST and Saturday and Sunday 13:00-21:00 CEST.
If you have a query outside of these times you can always try the FAQ, which has the answer to basic questions. For anything more complicated, you can also write to the bookmaker, although this will be much slower than the other methods on offer.

These recommend that players frequent the website often and take part in the various promotions and special services used on the website. They also indicate that using more than one product would also have a beneficial effect. If you use the casino on another site and the sportsbook at EnergyBet (or vice versa) you may consider switching across.
10. Licenses & Safety 9/10 Pts.
Fully Licensed for UK Use
EnergyBet is operated by Probe Investments Ltd, who are resident in Malta. As such, they fall under the gambling rules and regulations of the country. They hold a license in Malta for their European services, but for players in the UK they use a Remote Gambling License which was issued by the UK Gambling Commission. This is again backed up by a class II Malta Gaming Authority remote gaming license to protect UK players.
What this means to you, is that from the moment you register at EnergyBet you are protected by the rules and regulations held in Malta and the UK. Players under these jurisdictions can be assured that casino games they play are fair and impartial and odds, sporting tournaments and bets available on the sportsbook are also fairly represented and adjudicated carefully. UK players are also offered mediation should they fall into a dispute with EnergyBet. This offers extra peace of mind to many.
A Helping Hand from EnergyBet
Aside from the protection for all players, EnergyBet is committed to helping those website visitors who may be considered vulnerable. They adhere to gambling laws in the UK which prevent underage betting by offering links to websites that offer advice and software for parents to use to prevent their children accessing betting websites. As well as this, players are also required to give their date of birth when registering on the website. The date of birth is confirmed by identification documents once a player’s first withdrawal is requested.
There is also plenty of support available to those who are affected by problem gambling. This is accessed via the ‘Responsible Gaming’ link at the bottom of the homepage. On here you’ll be able to find support to set limits and your betting account. You can also add timers to your betting sessions to stop you from gambling for too long.
EnergyBet Conclusion /100 Pts.
EnergyBet Scored 82 Out of 100 Points in Our Test
When it comes down to it, there’s lots to be grateful about at EnergyBet. Their odds and the number of betting markets available on their website are great, and are more in line with the offerings we would have expected from major bookmakers. They also have a wonderful support network available for their customers, which is available via telephone, email and live chat. This support extends to help those who are experiencing issues with gambling and underage gambling. This, combined with their UK licensing goes a long way to reassure us that they are a reputable company with their customers at heart. This is one of the reasons we gave the bookmaker a very respectable 82 out of 100 in our overall rating.
EnergyBet Strengths and Weaknesses
As well as the strengths listed above, the bookmaker has a VIP scheme which is good for those that are interested in added bonuses and promotions. Still, we were impressed to find both casino and sportsbook bonuses available on EnergyBet’s site. These were competitive, and mostly simple to use, adding yet another tick in our ratings box.
There was only one slightly disappointing aspect of the EnergyBet website. This was their live betting section, which sadly doesn’t offer live streaming. That’s a shame given that their in-play section is so comprehensive. Hopefully it will be something that EnergyBet addresses in the near future. Overall, though, we were very impressed with the website content and hope that EnergyBet continues to operate to such a high standard in future.
