First Impression & Bwin Registration

Our First Impression of Bwin

When we first arrived at Bwin’s site we noticed how different it was to other bookmakers. While most bookies immediately add their popular betting markets to the homepage, Bwin focused on images of their website features. One image promoted the upcoming World Cup betting. Another featured the live bet cash out. The third image was a live feed of a current football game.

Links were still prominent in the header, though, with Bwin sports, live betting, virtuals, casino, live casino, jackpots and poker all having their own space. Promotions are found in one of numerous links at the bottom of the homepage, or via the betting market subheadings. We clicked sports, and from here we could visit sports Bwin promotions. Many of these were football related and promoted by none other than Hand of God himself, Diego Maradona.

During our Bwin sportsbook review, we wanted to know just how easy it was to navigate the website. Thankfully, the site was really easy to use with each type of bet available from the homepage. You can also register from the homepage using the black ‘Register Now’ button, which is what we got started with. After registering, we found the promotions page. There were a few promotions available like an amazing £20 back up bet welcome bonus. Upon finding a suitable bonus we made our first deposit, again, all from the homepage. Is Bwin reliable? Based on our first impression, we’d have to say a resounding yes.

All About Registration

Much like our ComeOn review, registering on the bookies’ site took moments. It was a simple three-step process that saw us add our personal details, create a username and password and then add our card details to get started with betting. We were betting in no time, so our Bwin ratings reflect the great service we received.

Bwin Bonus Offer

Bwin’s Welcome Bonus Offer

When it comes to welcome offers, the one listed on the Bwin website can be picked up by all new customers from the UK. This is a back up bet bonus. So if you put down a qualifying bet and it lost, then you’d get your stake refunded by 100% up to £20. But if you’re bet won, you’d get your winnings as normal.  This Bwin bonus, encourages players to wager on a betting market with a touch of insurance. As such, the deal scored well in the Bwin ratings.

The Bwin Bonus in More Detail

Remember that you can only get this deal by signing up to Bwin for the first time and then making a minimum £10 deposit with either debit card, wire transfer or PayPal. From here you just have to make a qualifying bet which has at least three selections with odds of 1.50 or more. If it loses, the bonus will be activated and you’ll get your stake refunded up to £20 in bonus bet tokens that you have to use within seven days. There are no tricks, the deal is legitimate and we’d like to call Bwin trustworthy. There’s also no wagering requirement on these qualifying markets, making the bonus an easy deal to understand. Bwin App & Mobile

Odds That Rival Most Bookmakers

The odds at Bwin may not set the world alight, but that’s true of every bookmaker at the moment. Odds are very tightly bound to a bookmakers’ profit and the likelihood that a bet will fail or succeed. This means there is very little room to move when it comes to changing the betting odds.

One way that bookmakers try to amend their odds to make them look more competitive is through odds boosts on certain markets. This is what Bwin does with their accumulators. Bwin offer what they call enhanced accas, which is where certain bets are put together in a ready-made accumulator bet for you. These accumulators have had their odds boosted so they offer better value for money than they would separately.

It’s common to find the odds accumulators on football events as they’re easily linked together. Other selections include tennis or rugby bets that have been combined to create exciting odds deals.

Bwin Specials & Extras

Bwin Casino Review Time

As well as the great sporting content on Bwin’s website, you can also wager on their generous casino, which has a huge selection of slot, table, poker and live casino games. One of the most famous of the slot games on offer is Starburst, which is created by industry giant NetEnt. This space themed game is perfect for those who love a five reel slot game with lots of extra free spins and expanding wilds. Progressive slots are also popular at Bwin, with jackpots reaching the millions if you’re lucky enough to win.

As well as slot games, you will also find a great table selection. There are blackjack tournaments which cover low rollers and high roller bets. There’s also roulette, craps and poker available for those looking to experience a realistic casino situation.

Bwin Social Media

Bwin does not have a Facebook page of their own, but there are a couple of fan pages on there that discuss the brand. What Bwin do have though, is a Twitter presence which has over 66,000 followers. On Twitter, Bwin’s content is mainly promotional material which advertises their latest big bets. You’ll also find adverts for the Maradona promotions that are currently running on their website.

Unlike many bookmakers, Bwin doesn’t appear to use social media to solve and customer issues, instead referring players to their customer support team.

Overall, we feel that while Bwin’s social media is informative, it doesn’t have the same level of interaction or fun found with other bookmakers. For that reason, we’ve knocked a couple of points off the specials and social media Bwin ratings.

Bwin Payments & Limits

A Wide Range of Payment Methods Available

Possibly the most important part of our Bwin review are the payment options. These allow us to place deposits and receive withdrawals on a bookmakers’ website. It’s natural to have a preferred payment option, so if it’s not available at the bookie, it would be nice to know about it before you sign up, right?

At Bwin, you’ll be able to deposit using a wide range of payment methods. There are 35 to choose from, with players from the UK able to deposit using Visa, Mastercard, Skrill, PayPal, Neteller, Paysafecard, Instant Banking, Entropay and Trustly.

PayPal
Revolut
Neteller
Skrill
Paysafecard
+ 25

The minimum you can deposit with most of these payment methods is £10, with the exception of PaySafeCard which allows you to deposit with just £5. Using Fast Bank Transfer or Instant Banking requires a minimum deposit of £15.

Maximum deposits vary between £500 for Instant Banking, rising to a whopping £50,000 for Skrill and Skrill 1-tap. The other maximum deposit amounts are Entropay and Paysafecard with deposits of £1,000 and £2,000 for card payments and Neteller. PayPal and Trustly allow deposits of up to £10,000.

Are There Any Fees Charged?

Withdrawals are fee free from Bwin, but your payment provider may charge you for the privilege of processing your withdrawal. This is usually true of ewallets such as PayPal and Neteller, so always check with your payment provider before making any withdrawals.

Withdrawals at Bwin vary in the time it takes to process. It takes Bwin 24 hours to process a withdrawal, but after this you they aim to get your withdrawal to you within 48-72 hours. This is in line with most other bookmakers.

Bwin Customers Support & VIP

Good Support At Bwin

Click the ‘Contact Us’ link at the top of the homepage and you’ll be transported straight to the Bwin’s FAQ which holds the answer to most common queries such as how to create a Bwin login and which payment methods are available on the website.

If this doesn’t solve your problem, you’ve got a couple of options available to you. The first is to telephone live customer support on the number listed below. This way you can talk through your Bwin problem with someone directly.

You can also contact Bwin by filling in the ‘Contact Us’ form at the bottom of the FAQ page. All you do is add your contact details and leave a message and someone from Bwin’s customer support team will get in touch with you. The alternative, which is by far the quickest contact method is to use live chat to speak to a customer advisor.

No VIP Scheme For Bwin Players

When it comes to VIP content, what you see on the Bwin’s website is what you get. The bookmaker has no specific VIP scheme available for their players, which while disappointing, isn’t the end of the world given the number of promotions available on their website.

Players are treated as equals at Bwin, with each deal from Maradona’s Millions to their Virtual Football bonus available for all, providing it is valid in your country of origin.

Bwin Licenses & Safety

UK Licensing Brings Peace of Mind

When it comes to gambling licenses, few compare to one from the UK Gambling Commission. Their stringent tests ensure that a bookmaker is reliable and trustworthy and their games are impartial, regardless of who places wagers on them. The UKGC is one of the regulators who have licensed Bwin’s owning company ElectraWorks Limited, who are also based in Gibraltar.

Because Bwin is located in Gibraltar they also hold a license from the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner and display their license numbers prominently on their website.

Furthermore, the bookmaker also goes to great lengths to ensure a players’ security when gambling on their website. Personal data is protected using SSL encryption and is stored in a secure firewalled data centre for protection. The bookmaker also states that their webpages are encrypted and the business works within ISO27001:2013 data practices.

Keeping You Safe Online

As well as protecting your personal information, Bwin also has a responsibility to protect players that are deemed vulnerable. That includes underage gamblers and players who believe they have a gambling problem.

Bwin goes to great lengths to weed out underage gambling by providing security checks when a person attempts to register on their website, and again should any payment be processed.

For those struggling with gambling, Bwin work in conjunction with GamCare to provide support to these players. They also have a checklist on their website so players can assess their own level of risk to problem gambling. Self-exclusion and betting limits can also be set on a players’ account to restrict the level of gambling or take time away from betting altogether. Self exclusion can last for up to six months to give players time to reassess their gambling.

Bwin Sports Betting

Betting Markets

Bwin Betting Markets

When it comes to betting markets, Bwin have a wide selection which should appease most bettors. There are 35 sports in total, and these cover everything from the commonly found sports such as football, cricket and horse racing, to more obscure markets such as Alpine skiing, futsal and handball. Of the sports offered on the website, you’ll often find multiple wagers covering a host of different tournaments from over the world. Take football for example, which on Bwin is offered on 33 different regions throughout the world including Japan and Vietnam, Estonia and Belarus.

Horse racing is another international sport with Bwin listing races from the UK, Ireland and South Africa in their betting markets. Rugby union again offers international games with European, Six Nations and World Cup action all available at the click of a button.

Different Bet Types

There are lots of different bet types available to the average punter. You have single bets which are wagered on one selection and one outcome. You have accumulator bets where you pick several selections and add them to one bet. Each of these selections needs to win for the bet to pay out. You’ve even got combi-bets, which are bets made up of several smaller bets to cover all possible outcomes at a sporting event. Of these you have doubles, trebles and quads as well as bigger culminations of bets such as trixies and heinz. These often combine double, treble and quad bets in such a way that you cover most betting outcomes. In a trixie bet, for example, you wager on three horses and place four bets consisting of three double bets and a treble bet.

All these types of bets and more are available at Bwin.

Betting Odds

Odds That Rival Most Bookmakers

The odds at Bwin may not set the world alight, but that’s true of every bookmaker at the moment. As we saw with our Dafabet review, odds are very tightly bound to a bookmakers’ profit and the likelihood that a bet will fail or succeed.

Limits

For deposit limits on the sportsbook, one can safely assume the minimum amount is £10. PaySafeCard allows customers to deposit as little as £5 while instant banking requires that one deposit at least £15 per transaction.

Maximum deposit limits depend on the payment method. For Skrill, the max limit is £50,000. Users of other chosen payment methods will have significantly lower max deposit limits. Check out our Payments & Limits section for more info.

Withdrawal limits can be changed and may be subject to change. Maximum payout amounts also vary according to the market of your choosing.

Live Betting & Streaming

Does Live Betting Live Up to Expectations?

Live betting on Bwin’s website is clear in its design with three different views available. These are overview, which as the name suggests, gives an overview of the current betting markets available. Then there’s event view, which shows individual events with a breakdown of the different bets available on the sporting event. The third view is multiview, allowing you to drag across different events into the viewing section so you can keep an eye on more than one bet at once. This nifty tool is certainly a high point of the Bwin live betting experience.

Players can also use the betting calendar to see which live betting markets are coming up in the following week – perfect if you like to plan your bets in advance.

Live Streaming At Bwin

Live streaming at Bwin allows you to experience wagering like no other. While it’s normal to find only a few betting markets have live streaming available, the selection at Bwin is rather generous. You can see which bets are streamed by looking out for the yellow television icon. If live streaming is not available, you’ll be treated to a nifty animation which follows the action. Not quite the same as watching an event live, but not terrible either. We’d definitely say it’s as good as the live streaming options found in our Coral review.

Product Summary & Conclusion

Bwin has a prominent sportsbook, offering customers an extensive range of markets and a wide selection of bet types. The odds on display, at time of writing, were competitive in terms of industry standards.

Bwin excels when it comes to live betting and streaming Here, you will certainly not be disappointed. As a Bwin customer, you’ll be able to bet on a large number of live events; all the while following via their live streaming service. This allows punters to be in amongst the action and our Bwin ratings for this is 5-star.

Punters can expect a very reliable sportsbook with all the added functionalities that come with online bookies nowadays!

Bwin Review Conclusion

Bwin Scored 87 Out Of 100 Points In Our Test

Betwin’s betting services and website features are great. It’s no surprise, then, that the bookmaker scored a very impressive 87 out of 100 in our review. During our review we found them to be consistently good across the board, only dropping a point here or there for minor issues. Overall, the bookmaker gave a great showing, particularly when it comes to website security and the safety of their players. This level of consistency passed over to their mobile app too, which was available to both iOS and Android players.

Bwin Strengths and Weaknesses

While it’s clear that Bwin is a great site, their lack of VIP section let them down somewhat. By including one of these, Bwin could have offered players an incentive to spend a little more. While we’re not sure that the website suffers without one, it is something that many other bookmakers offer, and may be worth consideration.

Overall, though, it was very difficult to find anything negative to say about the bookmaker. Their live betting was a particular high point for us, offering a wide range of betting markets and three different views to monitor your bets. Live streaming was available on some wagers to bring you closer to the action.

We also loved the choice of payment methods on the website. There were 35 offered in total, with a large selection of these available to UK players. With such a high overall score, It’s clear that Bwin has an awful lot to give. They’re a bookmaker we’ll be watching closely in future.
